Service Fee

Stamping fee is the fee you pay directly to Immigration Officers in cash (at Immigration counter desk) when arriving to the Vietnam airport to get visa stamped onto your passport. The fee is collected by Immigration Officers and compulsory for all those who use visa on arrival method. The Stamping fee can be paid in USD or VND. But USD currency is highly recommended to avoid any unexpected unbalanced exchange rate applied at the airport.

1. How Much Does A Visa for Vietnam Cost?

The cost of a single visa Vietnam entry tourist visa starts at $40, while a two to five year multiple entry visa costs US$155. The visa for Vietnam cost varies depending on the type of visa you apply for. In general, business visas for Vietnam cost more than tourist visas. Depending on your length of stay, the answer to the question how much is a visa to Vietnam is also different. In a nutshell, there are two types of fees included in visa for Vietnam cost:

1 – For Vietnam visa online: The current price for the visa application is $25.

2 – For Vietnam visa on arrival: The visa-on-arrival price includes two types of costs: the approval letter and stamping fee. The price for a visa on arrival is as follows:

  • Single-entry visas: US$25
  • Multiple-entry visas:

In addition to the fees for each type mentioned above, you must pay additional stamping fees when applying for a Vietnamese visa.

  • Single Entry visa, $25 for 1 month/3 months.
  • Multiple Entry visa, $50 for 1 month/3 months.

Applicants pay their visa fees at the airport in cash using either Vietnam dong or U.S. dollars.

2. Who determines the cost for Vietnam visa?

Visa for Vietnam cost is set by the Ministry of Finance and is updated regularly through Circulars issued by the ministry. The information in this article is taken from Circular No. 25/2021/TT-BTC, which came into force on May 22, 2021.

3. Who pays for Vietnam visa fees?

  • Immigration Management Department (Ministry of Public Security);
  • Police authorities;

  • Police authorities of immigrant-receiving communities.
