Two decades ago, nestled in the quiet hills of Tuyen Quang, a seed was planted—not just in the soil, but in the hearts of a family. That seed was a belief: that organic farming could be done with care, that food could be grown clean and naturally, and that the earth deserved more than chemicals and shortcuts.

What began as a humble dream became a lifelong journey of organic farming, resilience, and love. It’s a story of generations working hand in hand—rooted in tradition, growing through challenges, and blossoming into a legacy that feeds both body and soul.

Green Vietnam Farmstay

1. The First Generation – Where It All Began

In 2007, Mr. Vuong Ngoc Quang, born in 1978 in Hung Yen, moved to Tuyen Quang to start a new life. With little more than determination and a deep respect for the earth, he began to cultivate his land using organic methods, long before they became a trend.

His reasons were clear – to protect his family’s health, preserve the natural environment, and to create a source of truly clean food. But the early years were full of challenges. Without modern tools or recognition, he worked against the odds, driven only by faith and love for the soil.

OCOP Certification – A national standard in Vietnam that recognizes high-quality, locally sourced, and community-driven goods.

2. The Transition – Knowledge Passed Down

As his children grew, so did their interest in the farm. They learned by doing – planting, harvesting, and listening to their father’s stories under the trees. Over time, a new vision formed: blending traditional wisdom with modern agricultural knowledge.

The small family farm gradually transformed into a vibrant eco-tourism destination, a place where nature, culture, and learning meet. The next generation brought fresh ideas – solar-powered tools, organic composting systems, and community workshops.

3. The Present – What We’ve Achieved

Today, the farm welcomes tourists, students, and international volunteers through programs like WoLo Tour. It has become a place not just for growing food, but for growing awareness.

From school field trips to cultural exchange tours, every visitor leaves with more than memories – they leave with a deeper respect for nature and the power of sustainable living.

The farm also contributes to the local community by protecting biodiversity, educating the youth, and supporting local farmers.

4. Values – What Has Stayed the Same

Though much has changed, our core values remain:

  • Love for the land
  • Respect for nature
  • Farming with heart
  • Connecting with the community

These values guide every seed we plant, every guest we welcome, and every story we share.

For over two decades, our journey in organic farming has not just been about growing crops

5. The Future – What’s Next for Organic Farming

As the next generation takes the lead, a new chapter of organic farming is unfolding—one that embraces innovation while staying true to our roots.

From introducing smart agriculture techniques to developing unique farmstay experiences, our young farmers are blending tradition with creativity. With nearly 7 hectares of forest-garden land, we are designing immersive eco-tours, nature-based workshops, and wellness retreats that invite visitors to live slowly and mindfully.

Over the next 5–10 years, we aim to expand the Green Vietnam model, offer training programs for young organic farmers, and become a hub for sustainable education and green tourism in Northern Vietnam.

By sharing our knowledge and values, we hope to inspire more communities to embrace the power of organic farming—not just as a method, but as a way of life.
